Who we are
Surplus Funds Consulting LLC is a private foreclosure surplus recovery company. We research public records of mortgage foreclosure sales to find sales that may have produced surplus funds, contact the people who may have a right to them, and handle the recovery process for those who choose to work with us.
We are not a government agency, court, law firm or foreclosure trustee. We do not give legal advice. When a case needs a licensed attorney, we coordinate with one.
Why this work matters
Losing a home to foreclosure is hard enough. Many people never learn that the sale left money that belongs to them, because notices go to an address they have already left. Recovering that money can help a family move forward on firmer ground.
Our standards
- We identify ourselves clearly in every letter and call.
- We tell people they can claim surplus funds on their own.
- We never guarantee that money exists or that a claim will succeed.
- We put our fee in a written agreement before any work begins.
- We offer services only where state law allows, and we follow each state's limits on fees and agreements.
- We stop contacting anyone who asks us to.
